Global Warming and Climate Change} What different does it make?
What different, does it make on how we remove the excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere? Quite of bit really, if we take the carbon out of the life system of the planet forever, then we are simply adding to the amount of carbon sequestration that got the planet in trouble in the first place. The lost of carbon by being locked away, either in rocks, like limestone, or buried so deep in river deltas that it simply can not be recovered, unless the slow movement of the great plates of the planet bring it into contact, with the molten lava between some of the plates and shoots it back into the atmosphere as a gas containing carbon dioxide! The most important aspect, of replanting arid and semi-arid area's is, that it allows the planet to increase the temperature regulation abilities that has slowly been lost, due to having too many and too much, of these heat producing areas on the planet! Back when dinosaurs ruled the planet for around a 180 million years, there was many many times more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, then we have now, and the planet was warmer, with no ice on almost any part of the planet. This being said the highs were never as high as we have now, (around 140 degree's F) and the lows were never as low as we have now ( -50 degree's F is not uncommon at the south pole) The main different, was green ground cover that changes the sun's energy not to heat so much, as to energy for plant growth. Much more cloud cover then now, that act's as a blanket to maintain what warmth the planet has and also to reflect much of the solar radiation back into space, to prevent too much heat at the surface of the planet. I would love to tell you what the average daily temperature was back then, but whatever numbers I have read seems to be more guess work then not. ( That the pot calling the kettle black! ) All thing's that I have read indicates, a more tropical and temperate rainforest's, over much of the planet. Even with the super large number of possible refugee's workers that may be available for all of the work that needs to be done. we are talking several generation's before the planet would be anywhere close to what the planet was like back then. and I would think that somewhere in between those two climate's would be more ideal for the planet now!
