Global Warming and Climate Change} What does this all mean?
If we can get enough people involved with this greening of the planet's, arid and semi-arid areas? We could start a whole new economy, based on the produce that these, around the world sites, would be producing. First of these would be to be, as self-sufficient as possible. Second would be to teach and prepare the next "town" down the line, following the path of the water that is being brought into these areas. And also of great importance would be dried and canned foods, and water purification systems, kept in waiting, for the next flood of refugees. For there seems to be no end to government's that are willing to throw away vast populations of their own people for, some misguided idea! Each "town" as I like to refer to these "saving the planet sites" be it in a desert location or high up in the mountain's, for glaciers replenishment! Should either become a place for people to come to, so to see first hand the work involved that absolutely needs to be done, or as a required term of service, that young men and women will do to satisfied their state duties, As Israel, Germany, and other countries around the planet do now, normally to fulfill military service. Getting back to the produce part, it would seem that the most important aspect of these "town's" will be to produce ground cover first and foremost. Meaning a crop like alfalfa, that not only produces, good ground cover but as a by-product, is a great feed for many types of fish, cattle, sheep, etcetera. Perhaps these places would be a good place to choose to produce only "organic" item's to help set them apart from, many other places, and "handcrafted" item's with all of the part's produced locally. I do believe that as much interaction with the rest of the planet, as can be, should be of paramount important. Even ice replenishment at the Antiartic should be seen as a way to keep the planet attention on how large and necessary all of this effort is, with only minimum money outlay, and a great return on it's investment.
