Global Warming and Climate Change} The past is really the only indication for the future!
While this works for most of life, it work's very well in predicting temperature regulation on the planet. Using millions of years not only a few thousand that mankind has been concerned with, that is because we have to go back in time prior to the formation of so many arid and semi-arid areas of the planet. Otherwise, we are not comparing like conditions, and that is the rub, in all of the planet's history that we know about, never has there been 25% of the landmass fitting those descriptions! But now with a little over 400 parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, we can replant much of the areas of the planet that has lost its plant cover, and still keep the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere above the numbers needed to maintain that growth and then the planet will now reacquire almost all of its temperature regulating ability! ( Some loss will still be on the planet, due to all of the ice that the planet stages that were not here 3,000,000 years ago. But with a large amount of replanting on the rest of the planet and the reduction of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the temperature extremes will have greatly decrease, as will the extreme weather that it creates! Remember staging more ice on top of existing ice will not cause more cold weather, It will simply keep those areas at the temperatures that they currently at, more likely! No one likes being proven wrong, even if the alternative is harmful in the long run, so it had to be shown that with the information at hand, scientists around the planet have come to the right conclusion, about carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, increasing the planets global temperature, They simply did not, understand the underlying cause, and therefore the one and only way to mitigate the solution. Just like an old record, using all of the great and small rivers of the planet to replant as much of the arid and semi-arid areas of the planet as can be as quickly as we can!
