Global Warming, Climate Change} Scientist's have to first observe, and then interpret those observations.

History if rife with truth, half-truths, condemnations, and outright lies when it comes to information, that may put someone else's belief's or livelihood, in turmoil. This means that mankind has a long history of how to achieve those goals that can best fit their own desires, whether or not they're in the best interest of science or society! And scientists have also played a role in this, on both sides of these issues. Truth will out, sorry no, maybe money will out, is how it usually works. But this issue of planetary life, cannot be played with when all life on this planet is at stake, even if it is in the near future, and not tomorrow. For if it is allowed to be compromised for money today, then the next generation will simply continue with the mistaken idea of what the planet is going thought!  Right now, we need to decide the best way forward, in many ways this is a perfect time, we have a very large workforce waiting to be wanted and needed, there is a large groundswell of support, for something big to be done, there seem's to be monies available, from both humanitarian support for feeding and housing the million's of refugees, to people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, who has said that they would be willing to fund the correct project, even the Royal family in Great Britan has show support. You could not expect more than what is now being given by so many different groups! And people like a good big bandwagon, to jump onto, especially if others are willing to start pulling it. This is so important, and I would like some feedback on how others feel! First, how do scientist's come up with around 50,000 gigatonnes of available carbon left on the planet? Some of the amounts can be directly measured, how much there is in the atmosphere is one of the most researched numbers on the planet! That figure of 415 parts per million equals around 800 gigatonnes of carbon, in the form of carbon dioxide. 560 gigatonnes in plant and animal life are based on both satellite images for how much plant life is on the planet during the year and measurements that were taken by hundreds of people every year all around the planet.
