256 Global Warming and Climate Change} Last time we talked about, why we do not attempt to make the planet a better place?
And I was not in any way precise in what I was talking about, I tend to ramble, instead of staying on topic, again another reason why I would love some help in creating a book! The main reason that we do not try and make the planet a better place for all to live is profit and lack of vision! I mean we make beautiful parks in every city and then, lock them down at sunset, because we feel that they will attract the wrong crowd! So police them in a hundred different ways, make them places that everyone can do something late at night, or provide venues that help teach proper use of public spaces, but do not let only people that are angry at the world use them for there own tirades and tantrums against an often corrupt bureaucracy! But get them involved in change and rooting out those corrupt individuals. putting them in prison not giving them a slap on the wrist! This is the main reason that the whole planet, can't stand together is because of corruption on a massive scale in every area where some people control what others produce. If you do not play their games you cannot reap any rewards for yourself, which brings corruption further down into sociality. Many times in life we can point to a single problem and find that it is no different than every other problem in life just on a different scale. The passport officer who needs you to redo your picture 4 times, the police officer who stops everyone who looks wrong, the Mayor who either will not see the little guy or lies straight to their face about looking into something! We have no recourse, except smile and go away! I believe that I understand how the game is played, but I try to never be in the position to play! In many ways that does make me a hypocrite, for I have had to simply walk away instead of fighting on more than one occasion, understanding that losing for a good cause is still losing! I do believe that many of the old Greek philosophers, were right when they talked about a leader that had absolute authority, but no ambition but to make a better life for everyone would make the best leader! (BUT ALSO THAT ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTED ABSOLUTELY) And a well-rounded education with strong advisors would be needed, to protect the leader from themselves! A somewhat different post today but something that I have been thinking about since I read the Greek Philosophers in high school.
