CCLXVI Global warming and Climate change} I have talked so much about moving water, and using all of the nutrients that is in that water to help fertilize the areas that will be using the water for new plant growth

Let's talk about the great rivers of this planet's deltas! Deltas, you mean that area of land at the mouth of the river? Yes exactly, do you know the phrase, not in my back yard, no matter how much good some large project may be for people, very few will want it, with-in sight of where they live and sometimes even work. Which means that even if we would love to use as much gravity as possible to move water downhill into the deserts and semi-arid areas of the planet, most people will not want us to take any of the waters running by them, away! The one place that no one can complain about, is just as the freshwater is about to enter an ocean or sea. We do not want any freshwater to do that, so we will need to build a dam with locks at this point. The locks will allow boat traffic to come and go, and the dam will be the site of collecting all of the waters but just as important all of the silt that the rivers bring with it, and all of the pollution also! Much of what mankind sees as pollution plants do not. They see it as nutrition, there will, in reality, be 2 dams the first dam will be up at the start of the great delta, diverting the river left and right. the second dam will be preventing the salty sea or ocean water from entering back into the delta, the area of the delta will be a gold mine of nutrient-rich silt and organic matter dating back thousands of years, perfect for the nutrient-starved arid and semi-arid areas of the nearby region. There would be no need to truck this material simply use the waters either as the carrier or if too much, placed on barges. Just as old Egypt needed the Nile to flood every year to bring much-needed nutrients to the surrounding desert, we would be doing the same, as the waters, we now use to make the deserts bloom. We will need to start a new branch of study on how to clean-up these waters, and how to use the nutrient-rich silts for different types of crops, always remembering why we are replanting these areas, it has to start with cover crops! Parasites, diseases, mosquitoes, all will have to be dealt with as will the native fish, and wildlife, a freshwater to brackish water to saltwater corridor for those delta dwelling lives that needs such interconnecting waters (saltwater crocodiles come to mind) We would have to set up marshes and brackish waterways to maintain wildlife, this is not as hard as you may think, we are talking about thousands of square miles for some of the greatest rivers, taking centuries to contour the surrounding land while making a new area for wildlife to prosper! All the while protecting the oceans and sea's from mankind's pollution. What I envision after a few centuries would be a giant freshwater lake between the two dams with brackish and freshwater marshes surrounding the lake with two locks for boat traffic going both ways. We would need a full array of scientists just for studying both the delta's, and what we dug up from the delta, that would go back in time for thousands of years. (Dibs on any treasure found).
