CCLXX Global Warming and Climate Change} If the true purpose of repairing the planet's temperature extremes is for mankind's sake?
Then replenishing the amount of ice on the planet becomes of utmost importance, if the true purpose is to extend the length of time that all carbon-based life can survive on the planet, then that has different parameters, but the survival of mankind is top of this list also! This is the major difference between the average person's point of view and my understanding of why life on this planet is now directly tied to mankind's survival! There have been so many people that have stated that if mankind was wiped out then the planet's ecosystem would slowly cure all of the damage that we had inflicted upon it! This is not just wrong, but if this were to happen, mankind's disappearance would cause, in as little as 100 years the Earth will enter into the next and last "Ice-age"! There would be a lowering of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of between 2 and 4 parts per million per year, by the normal sequestration of carbon that has been going on for the last 3 billion years of carbon-based life on this planet, so the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that now stands at .0415% would have lowered by at least 200 parts per million, so 100 years from the day that mankind would have vanished, that lost would indicate a new amount of carbon dioxide it the atmosphere, at .0215%. Depending on where the planet is at in its origination to the sun and therefore the energy that it is receiving. This is around the level, that would start another increase in the amount of ice that is being staged on the planet, or in other words the start of the last and never-ending ice-age! There would simply not be enough carbon dioxide stored in the oceans able to be released into the atmosphere as the oceans would evaporate back into the atmosphere as their levels lowered, "Snowball Earth"! Would there be another "Siberian Trapps type event" that purportedly ended "Snowball Earth" the last time that this happened? I do not know, the interior heat of the planet is less now than it was 650 million years ago, and it was that heat that was thought to trigger the necessary volcanic lava flows that would have melted enough carbon-bearing stone, causing the necessary release of carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere of the planet! Even if this would happen, could evolution be given enough time for the next sentient or even sapient species to evolve? (There does seem to be differentiating points of view on how sentient and sapient meaning vary!) Way beyond anything I could make an educated guess about, again way too many unknown variables. So again I seem to be rambling along lines that are not germane to the issue at hand, that of mankind being an absolution necessarily for the continuation of all carbon-based life on this planet! My phone # 402-890-7946 do not be shy, I do not bite whether or not, you agree with me.
