CCCXXVIII Global Warming and Climate Change} Why do so many people dislike the idea that mankind is the planet's last chance?
I relate this to people's need for religion, and their need for a strong government, that there is something bigger than they are. We all start out as children with someone else in charge, teaching us, showing us how things work, and what is our place in the grand scheme of things. Those of us that are looking for power and control of others, seldom do it because of trying to improve others' lives but feel that they deserve to lead others, and the perks that they receive are truly deserved. Those that are willing to follow, somehow feel that those in power truly are different from the masses, we see this throughout history. Kings and Queens, Emperors, and Pharaohs, Dictators. Even in America, where the whole idea of that type of royalty, is only a myth, we still elect many on the basis of their names and affiliations, and the fact that the elder politician was found to be guilty of misusing the trust of their constituents, had no adverse effect on the younger politicians fate. Just the fact that they come from a family with name recognition was enough to place them in office. For mankind, to suddenly find themselves at the forefront of the planet's last struggle to be able to continue abundant carbon-based life on this planet, goes against almost everything that they have been taught. That a Creator, made the whole world, that mankind could only ruin for themselves, by their greed and selfishness, and in so doing, prove that they do not deserve an afterlife. Almost every religion promises some type of continuation after death, whether that was to be enjoyed or suffered though was our own decision. But for mankind to turn out to be this planet's last hope, due to the loss of "life providing carbon", caused by carbon sequestration over the complete timeframe that life has existed on the planet, is so far from the "reality" that we all have been taught, for generations going back thousands and thousands of years. Long before there were recognizable religious ideas, there was a need to understand that life could not just happen, and the easiest explanation was that something put us here and the most likely source was what was seen. The Sun, the moon, wind and rain, the ice, even the animals, all had to play some part in why! Where, does that leave us now, perhaps with simple commercialism, and the advertising that helps to bring it to life! Most of mankind recognizes, the need for some way to produce money to live, many times this is at the center of the refugee movement. Their ability to work, to be able to buy such things as food, and not be killed doing either, when that no longer become available, then a very hard choice needs to be made that will have very long term consequences, and not just for the ones leaving, but for everyone that needs to help along the way. These would be the first to jump at a chance to make a better life, and the reasons behind the need would be unimportant, as long as the opportunity was there! The United Nations would also have to have a large hand in making the necessary arrangements as they are in charge of most refugee camps at this point in time. #328 is in the can as they say, if you would like to reach me, my phone is 402-890-7946 my G-mail is danielkadavy212@gmail.com/ to read more at https://lifecycleofaplanet.blogspot.com Thank you and please tell others about that guy in Nebraska.
