389 Mankind lacks direction, unless you call everyone simply trying to find a way to make money to survive, a direction?

         A few people are trying to make life better for others, which is their direction, yet even they have to either be independently wealthy or rely on others for the money that is required to improve lives. What is normally the first question asked when meeting someone, what do you do, and the answer may tell people a lot about how that person sees life.                                                                                                                             Religion has been one of the ways that many have found to find purpose in life, this is especially important for many of the downtrodden on the planet, who see life as very hard and may see religion as a great hope for the lack of their ability to change any prospect in their own lives. Yet religion is also used to divide people, almost every religion teaches, love, respect, treat others how you would like to be treated, yet each religion also says that there is only one "TRUE" religion so everyone else who doesn't believe in their religion is not quite as important, or worse to be considered evil, or at least not to be considered on there same plane of existence.                                                                                                                                              But to have a direction in life, beyond money, family, and the next generation, few have that, and many do not even realize that something is missing? However, many do find that a need for something to believe in, is important. Unfortunately, others may use that need, that people have for fulfillment, for their own benefit. Few never ask, why are we here, to what end purpose do each of us aspire to? In the movie "Saving Private Ryan" where many soldiers risk and some lost their lives trying to save one brother, who was the last of four brothers so that at least there would be a son to come home to his parents, and as Private Ryan grew old, he wondered greatly if the life he ended up living, made the sacrifice that so many had made, worthy! A concept I am afraid few people in power, could ever grasp.                                                                                        Everyone on the planet now could find themselves with a direction, that does give meaning to the words, why am I here on this planet, at this time, with a multitude of ways to repair all carbon-based life. And yes, there will always be people on the planet trying to use others' direction, to make their own lives better! But as Professor Moody would say "Constant Vigilance" or at least Barty Crouch Jr. would say when pretending to be Moody! Two movie references in one post, I believe that means that I need to end this post. Dan
