406 Ascension Island, Green Mountain, Charles Darwin, and Mr. Hooker. It is hard to find something new under the sun, even the "plan" is not!

    Ascension Island was once an island with minimal plant life on it. Then Charles Darwin and the ship "The Beagle" made a stop at the barren island, he was intrigued by how little plantlife there was, where most other islands that the ship had made port at, had been teeming with plant life. This got Mr. Darwin thinking about if something could be done and when he got home he told Sir Joesph Hooker about what he saw on the island and wondered if somehow they could change the islands ecology by increasing its plant life!

    Hooker took this challenge to heart and over the next fifty years turned a mainly barren island into a plant oasias where the plant life actually changed the climate on the island and the mountain on the island became know as Green Mountain where heavy fogs would settle around the tops of the mountain bringing water to the whole island. 

    Would Darwin's and Hooker's plan work had the mountains on Ascension island not been as tall as they are, perhaps yes perhaps not, many people feel that the people that lived on the arid hills and plateaus of what is now Peru and Chile used this same concepts to grow crops but they also used long ropes to channel the fog produced water down to where the water could be used for both drinking and to water their gardens. 

    There are people that believe that what Joseph Hooker did to Ascension island should be considered a sin in that it took nature out of the equation and used man as an instrument of change to reinvent a new climate into the picture! I am sorry but that is simply poppycock, changing a area of minimal life into a place that can self-contain life and foster many new species is an improvement, not some sort of blasphemy! 

    Time and time again mankind has proven that we can grow crops in deserts and arid places, normally we now do that by using some form of limited irragation to do so, but that form of food production will not allow cloud formation to develope which is a very important part of the "plan" usefulness! Without cloud formations and the accompanying rainfall that block the sun's rays from striking unprotected soil and the effects of reflection of the rays back into space, all go a long ways in reducing temperature extremes and therefor preventing extreme weather! 

    Now you all need to get your act together, you have all of the information necessary to start repairing the planet, verification of the information that I have supplied you with is easy to do, once you know where to look. And more importantly "WHY" to look in those area's. Our planet is on the edge of extinction of all carbon-based life due to carbon sequestration since life first started. Remember perpetual motion has been proven time and time again to "not exist" yet everyone seems to think that this is one occasion "that is the exception to that rule" and the energy the Earth receives from the sun is why. Do not be mislead by people saying that! IT IS NOT TRUE THAT THE EARTH"S CARBON CYCLE can somehow avoid entropy without a acting and thinking species needing to step into the picture, Mankind!
